NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA — Police are asking for the public's help in finding the person accused of abandoning a puppy in a crate on the side of a North Attleboro street over the weekend.

A person was walking their own dog on Draper Ave., on Saturday when they came across a blue carrier that held what vets believe to be a 12-week-old male Chihuahua, North Attleboro police said.

It is not known how long the puppy was out in the cold before he was found, but he is safe and receiving medical care at the North Attleboro Animal Shelter, police said on Facebook.
