Sturdy Memorial Names Ron Van Ness-Otunnu, MD Its October A.C.E.S.

Dr. Ron Van Ness-Otunnu, a Physician in the Emergency Care Center, has been selected A.C.E.S. (A Caring Employee of Sturdy) for the month of October.

In nominating comments one coworker said of Dr. Van Ness-Otunnu, “He is always dedicated to his coworkers, as well as his patients. He is an excellent resource and takes the time to help educate staff, patients, and family members.” It was also said that, “Dr. Van Ness-Otunnu goes above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable.”

Dr. Van Ness-Otnunnu was described as, “friendly, respectful, and having a calming effect in all situations.”

“He is a terrific asset to our department. I am proud to say I work with him,” said another coworker. “I never feel uncomfortable asking him a question, and he always takes the time to explain.”

One coworker wrote, “He is a role model in his profession.”

Dr. Van Ness-Otunnu is a resident of Cranston, RI and has been a Sturdy employee since 2012.
