Parking Ban In Effect for Impending Blizzard
Town of Bedford officials have asked that residents not park their vehicles on the streets both during the storm and subsequent snow removal.

Ahead of the impending blizzard that could dump up to two feet of snow on Bedford, town officials released a statement Thursday afternoon letting residents know preperations for the storm are underway.Â
"The Town has begun preparations for the significant snowfall anticipated. Updates will be provided on the Town’s website www.bedfordma.gov and AM 1640 as appropriate," according to the statement.Â

Parking on the street during the storm has been prohibited, and violators will be towed.
"It is illegal to park on the streets during active snow plowing operations. Parked vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense and the vehicle’s owner will be fined," according to the statement.Â

Additonaly, there is no parking on streets or in municipal parking lots until 24 hours after snow has stopped falling, according to the Bedford Police Department.
