Police Log: A Phantom Car Fire

Thursday, Feb. 7
7:48 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from a contractor working at 9 Crosby Drive reporting a larceny of some tools from his worksite.

12:58 p.m.- Police received a cell phone transfer call from the State Police reporting a car fire on Route 3 near exit 26. The Bedford Fire Department reported they could not locate the vehicle, and the State Police reported the same.Â
4:01 p.m.- A caller reported a high school-aged male operating a large black Toyota Tundra driving in a fast and unsafe manner every day at around 4 p.m. on Notre Dame Road and Battle Flag Road. Responding officers checked the area with no results.

5:42 p.m.- Police recevied a call from a motorist on Brooksbie Road at Jonathan Lane reporting a large truck had backed into her car and then drove off.Â
6:12 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a vehicle had struck a deer near 292 North Road. The responding officer reported he observed some debris on North Road, but no car or deer. The officer then located the vehicle on Sweetwater Avenue.
8:01 p.m.- A caller reported a verbal domestic incident on Neillian Street. The responding officers spoke with the involved parties.
10:36 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a black Toyota Tundra operating erratically on Notre Dame Road heading for Battle Flagg Road. The responding officer reported the vehicle was no longer in the area when the arrived.Â
