Police Log: A Water Issue on Elmbrook Circle

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Sunday, Jan. 27

8:48 a.m.- A resident of Elmbrook Circle called the Bedford Police Department to report a possible water main break. The responding officer reported there was a water problem and it was creating ice. DPW was notified.

9:34 a.m.- Police received notification from an alarm company that an alarm had been activated at an Old Billerica Road residence. The responding officer reported the residence was secure.

12:46 p.m.- An anonymous caller reported a construction crew building a house on Wilson Road was in violation of the town by-law. The responding officer spoke with the workers who said they would stop working for the day.

5:35 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a male wearing dark clothing pushing a shopping cart on Great Road near CVS. The caller reported the individual was causing a hazard in the road. The responding officer located the individual near Stop and Shop and reported he was not a hazard.  

5:48 p.m.- BPD received a call from the Carlisle Police Department requesting an officer help with getting people off the ice on the Concord River near the boat ramp. The responding officer reported the people were all off the ice safely by the time he arrived in the area, and that they were out on the ice to get a dog. 

6:02 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a car had struck a deer near 115 North Road. The caller said the car had driven off, but that the deer appeared injured. The responding officer reported the deer had run off into the woods near North Road.

9:29 p.m.- Police responded to a report of a disturbance at McDonald's. The responding officers spoke with the involved parties.
