Police Log: An Arrest For Skipping Jury Duty

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Monday, Feb. 4

9:52 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call reporting a female walking down the Middlesex Turnpike without a jacket on. The responding officer provided a courtesy transport to the individual to the Dunkin Donuts on Great Road.

1:56 p.m.- Police received a call from 35 Wiggins Ave. reporting a fire on Charles Bank Street in Newton. The caller reported a female and child were trapped in the house. Newton Police and Fire handled the call. 

3:47 p.m.- The manager of Bedford Villiage called police to report an odor in Building 22. The responding officer reported the odor was from cooking.

5:58 p.m.- An officer reported a disabled vehicle on Concord Road. The operator was able to move the car into the lot of First Baptist Church and call for a tow. DPW was notified to clear fluids that had leaked from the vehicle from the roadway.

6:50 p.m.- The manager of T.J. Maxx called to request assistance with a V.A. patient who appeared to be intoxicated and has no way to get back into his residence. The responding officer transported the individual to the V.A. Medical Center where V.A.P.D. took control of the individual. 

Tuesday, Feb. 5

12:09 a.m.- Police received a call from 269 North Road reporting a domestic incident in progress. Responding officers reported Kyle O'Connor, of 269 North Road in Bedford, was placed under arrest for reckless endangerment to a child and assault. 

9:47 a.m.- An officer conducted a vehicle stop near 125 Middlesex Turnpike. The officer reported Theresa Collins, of 2 Telegraph Street in South Boston, was placed under arrest for an active warrant for failing to attend jury duty. 

11:43 a.m.- Police received a call from Massachusetts State Police reporting an erratic vehicle, a silver Ford Focus, exiting Route 3 at exit 26. The responding officer could not locate the vehicle. 

2:30 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a loose golden retriever in the area of 4 Flintlock Drive. The responding officer could not locate the dog.
