Cityside Subaru and Springwell Celebrate 15th anniversary of Share the
Cityside Subaru partners with Springwell, who manages Meals on Wheels in Belmont and other communities to support older adults.

Through Share the Love, Subaru of America donates $250 for each new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased at participating retailers between November 17 and January 3 to a charity chosen by the buyer from a list of several community partners including Meals on Wheels. While Share the Love supports Meals on Wheels nationally, some funds are distributed locally to support charities in each Subaru dealership’s area. Cityside Subaru partners with Springwell, who manages Meals on Wheels in Belmont and other communities to have the donations support the local home delivered meals program.
Nathan White, Operations Manager shares that Cityside Subaru has participated in Share the Love since it began in 2008. “As we enter our fifteenth year of participating in Share the Love, it makes me feel great that Subaru and all its retailers together have donated $27 million to Meals on Wheels and its local programs since 2008. When I was a sales representative, customers would tell me daily that they love their Subarus and that message pairs perfectly with Share the Love. Our participation in Share the Love goes beyond the financial contribution, it broadens our connection to the community.”
“Getting to know organizations like Springwell has helped Cityside Subaru be a better corporate citizen. Through selling and servicing cars, we build relationships with customers over the years and often are privileged to learn about their life milestones. Springwell heightened my awareness about the challenges of aging and increased my knowledge of supports and resources available to help those who want to grow old in their own homes. After one of our very dear customers lost his wife, he stopped by periodically to visit and talked about loneliness and missing his wife. In our chats, I was able to let him know about Springwell services and things such as community dining at the Belmont Senior Center that might provide him some social interaction to combat his loneliness.”
