"This is Mayor Mike Cahill with a further update on COVID-19 tests. First, thank you to so many people involved in yesterday’s highly successfully test kit distribution at Lynch Park. We appreciate you all very much.

Now, I want to share what is happening for testing today and tomorrow in Beverly. Later today, from 4-8 PM, Cataldo Ambulance will hold a PCR Covid test site at Beverly Senior Center. Only people seeking a PCR test, not a rapid test kit, should come to the Senior Center today. Again, this is for PCR testing only.

If you have not already received a covid-19 rapid antigen test kit from the city, will have one more opportunity to do so, and that will take place tomorrow when we offer another drive through site at Lynch Park from 12 Noon – 6 PM. Again, if you have already secured antigen tests from the city, please do not come to Lynch Park tomorrow. If you have not yet had the opportunity, please join us tomorrow from 12 Noon – 6 PM, when Beverly residents who show proof of residency can pick up one test kit for an individual or a maximum of two test kits per household.

Please know we are doing our very best to provide as many of our residents as possible with this tool in hopes we will all be safer through the holidays as a result. Thank you all for your kind attention to this message and for following public health guidelines. Keeping you, your loved ones, and our community safe during this extremely rapid surge in COVID-19 cases being fueled by the new Omicron COVID-19 variant is our shared responsibility and needs to be our number one goal right now. Please be well and thank you."
