5 Crashes On 3 Interstates Mar Morning Commute
The Mass Pike eastbound has been closed for 90 minutes, while a fiery crash has had all but one lane on I-495 closed for hours.

Commuters are still dealing with the fallout of four crashes along three interstates Tuesday morning. No serious injuries have been reported from the crashes in Berlin, Boston, Medford, Merrimac and Palmer.
A fiery first crash still has all but one lane of I-495 South closed in Berlin. Three tractor-trailers and a pickup truck towing a horse trailer crashed around 3:10 a.m. near Exit 26.
Three people were brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. No horses were in the horse trailer.

Cleanup has been slow; the crash caused fuel to spill across the highway. Traffic was being diverted to Route 62 in Berlin.
One lane was reopened more than three hours after the crash.

Elsewhere on 495, the left lanes north and south were closed for about 25 minutes after a crash in Merrimac. Those lanes were reopened around 7:35.
The Mass Pike eastbound in Palmer has been closed since 6:20 for a serious crash involving a tractor-trailer and box truck. Police said no injuries were reported in the crash.
The lanes are still closed 90 minutes later. Traffic is being diverted at Exit 8 to Route 20.

In Boston, a crash inside the tunnel's northbound lanes was reported around 8:10. The left lane is closed.
The left two lanes of I-93 South were closed for a crash at the Medford-Stoneham line. Those lanes were reopened around 7, but traffic is at its usual morning standstill there.
