Boston Marathon Women's Winner: Atsede Baysa

The Ethiopian took the top prize among women in the 120th Boston Marathon.

Boston, MA - Ethiopia's Atsede Baysa came in first among women in the 2016 Boston Marathon Monday, with an official time of 2:29:19.

Baysa has also won Chicago and Paris.

Defending champion Caroline Rotich of Kenya dropped out at around the 7K mark, due to a reported ankle injury.

Rotich took first place for the women in the 2015 Boston Marathon, with a time of 2:24:55.
