Donald Trump Supporter Ernie Boch Jr.: 'It's Only Four Years'
"Let's give him a shot," Boch Jr. told Fox Business on a potential Donald Trump presidency.

Boston, MA - Boston-area businessman Ernie Boch Jr. refused to relent as Fox Business moderators pressed him on why, exactly, Donald Trump should be elected president. But what's the big deal? After all, as Boch observed, "It's only four years."
Moderators on Maria Bartiromo's Mornings with Maria program brought Boch on the show for a segment they called "Why Billionaires Back Trump." Ostensibly designed to probe the mind of Trump's monied supporters, their questions solicited little detail from Boch, head of a Norwood-based automotive dealership and distribution empire under Boch Enterprises.
"What I think is almost comical at this point is it seems like everybody is telling you not to vote for this gentleman. I've never seen it before in any election — local, national," Boch told Fox Business moderators. "It's the fortitude that Mr. Trump has to keep going and try to change this country. (It's) amazing."

When pressed for details on specific policy proposals and "substance" Boch held the line.
"Government waste, I think, is a big issue. I think he can save the U.S. a lot of money with government waste," he offered.

Then, "I think it's time for a guy like this in the White House. It's only four years. Let's give him a shot."
Moderators pushed back, noting what they consider damage done in President Barack Obama's first four years.
"That's the chance you take," Boch replied.
Further questions boiled down to this: Boch wants to see someone different leading the country, and he believes his faith echoes fellow Trump supporters' around the country.
"He hasn't really come out specifically on a lot of things, but I don't think that's why people are supporting him. I think they are supporting the man. They want this guy in there," he said.
Boch has accrued criticism in the past for comparing a Donald Trump vote to picking "a girl at the bar" at 2 a.m. More background from the Boston Globe, which first shared Boch's Fox Business appearance, here.
