Boston, MA - The Boston Marathon and its attendant events will net the region an estimated $188.8 million in 2016, according to estimates out Thursday.
For context, the 2015 Boston Marathon generated $181.9 million, with 30,251 entered to compete.
The Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau broke down the 2016 details in a press release Thursday.
