BPS Bus Monitor on Leave After Video Surfaces
Boston Public Schools put a bus monitor on paid administrative leave as an investigation gets underway.

Boston, MA - Boston Public Schools has put a bus monitor on paid administrative leave after videos reportedly showing the monitor physically restrain a student come under investigation.
The incident, which reportedly took place in mid-April, was caught on video by a fellow student, according to the Boston Police Department.
According to police, the video shows a Paul A. Dever School student being forcefully held down, then pushed down again by the monitor.

In a statement released to multiple outlets, BPS said: "Boston Public Schools considers the safety and well-being of its students and staff a top priority. Staff at the Dever Elementary School notified the Department of Children and Families immediately upon learning of this incident. The bus attendant has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation."
