BOSTON, MA — FBI agents on Tuesday arrested a Wisconsin man in Boston who is the main suspect in the 2022 vandalism of an anti-abortion group's headquarters in that state.

According to federal prosecutors, Hridindu Sankar Roychowdhury, 29, was attempting to board a flight to Guatemala Tuesday at Logan Airport. He was charged with one count of attempting to cause damage by means of fire or an explosive after his arrest.

The incident occurred on Mother's Day 2022 when the Madison, Wisc., headquarters of Wisconsin Family Action was found damaged. The group's office was sprayed with graffiti, and two incendiary devices had been lit outside, causing minor damage.

Madison police collected DNA evidence at the scene, which led them to Roychowdhury, according to the FBI. Police later collected food discarded by Roychowdhury in an attempt to match his DNA.

Before arriving in Boston, Roychowdhury took a bus to Portland, Maine, and purchased a one-way flight to Guatemala City, the FBI said in a news release.
