The Ethiopian took the men's title on Patriots' Day in Boston.

Boston, MA - Ethiopia's Lemi Berhanu Hayle won the men’s 2016 Boston Marathon on Monday, besting defending champ Lelisa Desisa on Boylston Street Monday with an official time of 2:12:45.

Desisa, of Ethiopa, won the men’s 2015 Boston Marathon with a time of 2:09:17. He also won in 2013.
