MA Weather: 'Bomb Cyclone' Nor'easter Starts Slow, Ramping Up
The powerful storms' quiet start won't last much longer as the it prepares to flex across Massachusetts.

The "bomb cyclone" storm hasn't quit detonated over Massachusetts yet, but forecasters are warning of its impending arrival. The most recent forecasts still have potential flooding and damaging wind gusts on tap for the late-night and early-morning hours.
There were only a handful of power outages as of 8 p.m., but the most treacherous weather yet to come. Heavy rain and wind was expected to start in Greater Boston around 9 p.m.
Massachusetts is still under a hazardous weather outlook and a wind advisory. The coast and Cape and Islands are under a high wind warning for gusts that could reach 60 miles per hour. The storm is still expected to drop 1.5-4 inches of rain, the highest amounts coming in Western Massachusetts and some northern parts of the state.
