MA Weather: Halloween Storm Will Have Heavy Rain, Wind
There may be a small window to trick or treat in between heavy bouts of rain, according to the forecast.

"Boo!" says the weather. A stretch of sporadically heavy rain with possible rumbles of thunder will begin Wednesday night and threaten trick-or-treating during Halloween, but there could be hope for a small window of time to get that candy.
You may be able to squeeze in a soggy, but not soaking, trick or treat for your little goblins if your community is holding any events in the early afternoon. Weather.com has the rain picking up Thursday around 4-5 p.m. and only getting worse from there. Some communities are postponing trick-or-treating to this weekend.
"Long period of rain begins [Wednesday night]," the National Weather Service said. The rain will intensify after midnight Thursday into early Friday. Most of the state is looking at 1-1.5 inches of rain, with a bit more in Western Mass. and a bit less on the Cape.

The good news is the weather should be mild through Friday, including highs of 68 degrees in the Boston area on Halloween. A cold front will take hold this weekend, introducing high temperatures barely over 50 degrees.
