MA Weather: Record Cold To Grip Region Following Snow
It's been a long time since we saw wind chills get down to negative-5 degrees. That's what forecasters are expecting this week.

A bit of snow Tuesday is expected to be followed by a bout of record cold this week. Forecasters are warning of 25-40 miles-per-hour wind gusts that will drop overnight temperatures Tuesday into the teens and wind chills as low as negative-5 degrees.
There is a gale warning in effect from 1 p.m. Tuesday to 1 p.m. Wednesday for the blustery wind gusts. Tuesday afternoon will also see rain briefly change over to snow. Forecasters said to expect only a coating, but it could make for dangerous travel coupled with the quick-falling temperatures.
The low temperatures from Tuesday to Wednesday will be in the teens and highs in the low 30s, so expect whatever falls to freeze rather quickly.
