MA Weather: 'Widespread Soaking' Rain Makes For Miserable Sunday

A miserable Sunday is on tap to ruin your fall plans — unless your plans were staying inside to watch the Patriots. "A widespread chilly rain" is expected for most of Sunday, interrupting an otherwise seasonably pleasant stretch.

Friday and Saturday will boast some sun and temperatures in the high 50s to low 60s, though there will be overnight showers north of the Pike tonight. See the National Weather Service simulated radar below.

But Sunday will see rain almost all — "a widespread soaking rainfall," the NWS said — and a bit chillier temps. The rain will be mainly after 11 a.m. and before 11 p.m. It could be downpouring during the Patriots game, which starts at 4:25 p.m.

The weather will rebound through at least midweek. Despite the potential for a couple showers, expect sun behind a few clouds and temperatures threatening 60 degrees.
