Man Held On $1K After Boston Police Chase Put Both In Hospital
The Roxbury man was arraigned from a hospital bed.

BOSTON, MA — The man a police officer was chasing across the street when they were both hit by a car was arraigned from his hospital bed Thursday on several warrants and new charges of resisting arrest and assault and battery on a police officer.
Wilfredo Burgos, 39, of Roxbury was arraigned at Boston Medical Center following his arrest yesterday. At the request of Assistant District Attorney Alexandra Halprin, West Roxbury Municipal Court Judge Kathleen Coffey set bail at $1,000, according to the Suffolk District Attorney’s office.
Around 10:30 a.m. an officer saw the man, who was known to have multiple active warrants, near 3084 Washington St near Egleston Square. The officer approached him and attempted to arrest the man, when Burgos pulled away from the officer in an attempt to evade arrest and ran away.

Several people called to report a car had hit a pedestrian and when police arrived they found the officer on the ground and Burgos not far away.
