Police Arrest 1, Searching For More After 'Cowardly' Assault
Transit police said a 60-year-old man had his cane ripped away and was kicked and stomped on outside Haymarket Station.
BOSTON — Authorities arrested one man and are looking to identify more after what they called a "cowardly" attack on a 60-year-old man outside Haymarket Station. Transit police said on Wednesday around 5 p.m. a man who uses a cane "was viciously assaulted and robbed" be multiple men. The men took the man's cane, causing him to fall, then kicked, stomped on, and robbed him, police said.
Julius Tolbert, 47, of Hyde Park, was arrested and charged with kicking and stomping the victim's ankle, police said. They are trying to identify the other people involved.
