Pressley Slams 'Bigoted' Trump After His 'Lynching' Tweet
The Massachusetts congresswoman responded to Trump's tweet comparing his impeachment inquiry to a "lynching."

Massachusetts U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley called President Trump a "bigoted man" after Trump compared the impeachment inquiry he faces to a "lynching."
Trump tweeted Tuesday morning he felt his due process and legal rights were being ignored in the impeachment inquiry. Then he equated it to a lynching — a term often used for the violent killings of black men in the South in the late 19th century.
"All Republicans must remember what they are witnessing here - a lynching. But we will WIN!"

So some day, if a Democrat becomes President and the Republicans win the House, even by a tiny margin, they can impeach the President, without due process or fairness or any legal rights. All Republicans must remember what they are witnessing here - a lynching. But we will WIN!

Pressley tweeted a couple hours later, calling "the occupant of the [White House]" a "bigoted man."
Haven’t even had coffee yet & the occupant of the WH, the bigoted man who called for the execution of the exonerated 5, is tossing the word ‘lynching’ around. Lord give me the strength to not take the bait but hold this man accountable for every single thing he says and does.

Don’t take your eye off the ball family. A major witness is testifying today and he’s using a predictable play to try to distract & divide. We see right through him. https://t.co/nLoxQOMd6I

Even some top Republicans said they disagreed with the language Trump used. Lynchings, which were hangings, were often in the South by white men against black men, according to the NAACP.

Pressley is a vocal foe of Trump's. She is a member of "The Squad," a quartet of freshman congresswoman who Trump has called "racist."
Trump once asked why the women don't "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came." Pressley, along with two other members of "The Squad," were born in America.
