MASSACHUSETTS — Thursday's "bomb cyclone" nor'easter was the strongest October storm the Boston area has ever seen. Wind gusts hit 90 mph on the Cape and 70 mph at Logan Airport.

More than 68,000 homes and businesses were still without power Friday morning, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. National Grid and Eversource said power won't be completely restored until late Saturday night.
