Local Resident to Speak at Dean College Commencement
Brewster resident Valerie Davis has been selected to speak on behalf of the Bachelor's Degree students at Dean College's Commencement.

From Dean College: Brewster resident, Valerie Davis, has been selected to speak on behalf of the Bachelor’s Degree students at Dean College’s 151stCommencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Franklin, MA.
Valerie is a Theatre and Business major at Dean College. While at Dean, Valerie has been actively involved on campus, participating in the Student Government Association (SGA) as Treasurer, and as a student ambassador. Additionally, Valerie has performed in several theatre productions, including the upcoming performance of Five Women Wearing the Same Dress.
Valerie credits her first theatre production, The Crucible, as her most impactful experience at Dean. “Being a part of this production made me realize my passion for theatre,” said Valerie. Another prominent memory was the semester she spent abroad in London. “Even though I wasn’t physically at Dean that semester, I was grateful for the opportunity. It allowed me to learn a lot about myself.”

After graduating, Valerie plans to attend theatre auditions in New York City and travel the world. “I’m just a small girl with big dreams.”
Dean College’s 151st Commencement Exercises will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Dean College, 99 Main Street, Franklin, MA. The ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the front lawn of Dean Hall on campus. Valerie and one additional student will speak at this year’s Commencement.
