1. $7,500 reward offered for help finding suspect in double homicide (wcvb.com) — Authorities are offering a $7,500 reward for tips leading to the arrest of a suspect in a Brockton double homicide outside Westgate Mall, where an 18-year-old woman and 15-year-old boy were fatally shot. Investigators believe the man may have fled to the Caribbean and possibly altered his appearance. Two other suspects are already facing trial on related, lesser charges.
   

2. Students rally around Brockton couple who lost everything in fire (enterprisenews.com) — A longtime Brockton couple in their 70s lost their Mildred Road home, cars, and nearly all belongings in a two‑alarm fire believed linked to lithium‑ion batteries. Cardinal Spellman High School students, who first spotted the blaze, have since raised thousands of dollars and created a prayer chain to support the pair as they rebuild.
   

3. Brockton Republican City Committee takes legal action against Geoff Diehl (bostonherald.com) — Brockton’s Republican City Committee is asking a Plymouth Superior Court judge to block former GOP candidate Geoff Diehl from reorganizing the local party committee and its ward groups. Local leaders say Diehl’s December 30 meetings could shift control over Brockton’s 49 convention delegates, while a hearing on the dispute is set for December 29 at Brockton Superior Court.
   

4. Catholic Charities South helps deliver over 13,000 pounds of food to help feed families in Brockton - Boston News, Weather, Sports (whdh.com) — Families in Brockton are getting a major boost from the city’s new Hunger Relief Fund, which just helped Catholic Charities South deliver more than 13,000 pounds of produce across town. Seeded with a $1 million gift from Eastern Bank Foundation, the fund will support over 15 local nonprofits to strengthen Brockton’s food security network beyond the holidays.
   

5. A Mass. man died in a car crash with a suspect fleeing police on Dec. 20 — his son's birthday (masslive.com) — A Brockton man is accused of causing a fatal crash in Stoughton while allegedly fleeing Brockton police after reports of erratic driving. The 26-year-old Brockton resident faces multiple charges, including motor vehicle homicide, after an 84-year-old Stoughton man died and his wife was seriously injured.
