1. Another serious crash on North Cary Street in Brockton. What we know (enterprisenews.com) — Brockton police and firefighters responded Friday morning to another serious crash on North Cary Street, where occupants were trapped and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office has taken over the case. This marks at least the fourth serious crash there this year, including two February fatalities, raising renewed concern about safety along that busy stretch.
   

2. Brockton man arraigned as third suspect in fatal 2024 shooting (boston25news.com) — A Brockton man has been arraigned as the third suspect in a 2024 fatal shooting on Vesey Street, and he’s being held without bail. Prosecutors say surveillance video, hospital records, and recovered shell casings link three men to the late-night attack that killed 22-year-old Romualdy Pierre-Charles, with the case now moving toward a February pre-trial conference.
   

3. 16-year-old arrested in connection with shooting in Mass. (masslive.com) — A 16-year-old from Brockton has been arrested after a three-month investigation into a September shooting in Norwood that police say stemmed from a planned robbery. Norwood police credit cooperation from Brockton and Plymouth County law enforcement, and they expect additional charges as the case continues.
   

4. Healey-Driscoll Administration Awards $2.1 Million to Eight Community Health Centers through Family Nurse Practitioner Residency Grant Program (mass.gov) — Brockton residents should know that Brockton Neighborhood Health will receive new state funding to add two Family Nurse Practitioner residency slots, aimed at easing the city’s primary care waitlists. The $2.1 million statewide initiative backs eight community health centers, boosting the pipeline of primary care providers serving gateway cities and other underserved communities across Massachusetts.
