Brookline Getting Several New Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
Officials said Brookline will have 27 EV chargers around town by the end of the fall. Find out where they will be located
BROOKLINE, MA — The Town of Brookline has provided updates on several electric vehicle (EV) charging ports being installed in public parking lots around town.
Last month, the town's Department of Public Works held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for seven new level 2 dual port EV charging stations in the Kent/Webster Place parking lot in Brookline Village.
The project was completed in collaboration with EV charging solutions company Greenspot and Evensource. Brookline also has installed a number of town-owned ChargePoint stations.

According to town officials, Greenspot stations charge for electricity at rates of $0.40/KWh (level 2) and $0.44.KWh (level 3). Chargepoint stations do not charge for electricity, but users must pay the appropriate parking fee.
In addition to the chargers at Kent/Webster Place, the other EV charging stations in town can be found at:

By the end of this fall, Brookline expects to have 27 charging stations around town. New charging stations are being installed at:

Town officials said they recognize the importance of EV infrastructure.
"Electric Vehicles (EVs) create less greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution than traditional gasoline-fueled vehicles. EV drivers benefit from better fuel economy and financial incentives, and contribute to cleaner air and better health for the community," officials said in a statement.
The town's Transportation Division has created these EV charging projects thanks to grant funding and transportation network company funding, according to Brookline officials.
