BROOKLINE, MA — The police department announced that it is looking to hire full-time 911 emergency dispatchers.

Experience is preferred but not required for interested parties to earn between $25.59 and $29.94 as an hourly wage. In addition, the job also includes health insurance, retirement benefits, as well as vacation and personal time. The minimum educational requirements include a high school or General Education Development diploma. The application process includes a thorough background investigation and a computer-based pre-employment assessment. According to the department, candidates must be available to work potential night, weekend, holiday, and overtime shifts.
