Brookline, Newton Green Line Shuttle Service Starts Monday

BROOKLINE, MA — Green line riders will likely be spending some extra time commuting over the next couple of weeks with shuttle bus service replacing trolley service starting Monday and running through Dec. 20 to facilitate track work.

During that time, there will be no trains between Riverside and Kenmore.

• Regular shuttles replace service for all affected stops except Beaconsfield
• Express shuttles replace service from Riverside and Woodland to Copley 6 – 10 AM on weekdays
• Express shuttles replace service from Copley to Riverside and Woodland 3 – 7 PM on weekdays

Other Options near Green Line D Stations include:

• Riverside and Woodland: Consider Auburndale and West Newton stops on the Framingham/Worcester Line for service to Lansdowne, Back Bay, and South Station. Lansdowne is 0.4 miles from Kenmore (~7-minute walk).
• Reservoir: The C Branch Cleveland Circle stop is 0.2 miles away (~5-minute walk), and service at this stop is fare-free during this closure.
• Beaconsfield: The C Branch Dean Road stop is 0.2 miles away (~4-minute walk).
• Brookline Hills: The 60 bus stops at Cypress St @ Milton Rd heading inbound, 0.2 miles away (~4-minute walk) and Boylston St @ Clark Rd heading outbound, 0.3 miles away (~5-minute walk).
