BROOKLINE, MA — The Brookline Police Department will relax parking enforcement in Brookline over the next two weekends as the region celebrates the holiday season, town officials announced Thursday morning.

Police will specifically scale back some daytime, overnight and metered parking enforcement beginning on Saturday nights and continuing through the day on Monday across both weekends.

While area motorists may have more flexibility around certain parking rules, the town Department of Public Works’ Transportation Division said on Thursday that police will continue to enforce safety-based regulations around fire hydrants, handicap accessibility ramps and other locations.
