Brookline Trolley, Traffic Disruptions Amid Green Line Track Work

BROOKLINE, MA — Beacon Street crossovers may be temporarily closed and several Green Line trolley stops in Brookline will not be serviced during the MBTA track work scheduled to run through March 8.

While officials said "most vehicular traffic should not be impacted by track repairs," those looking to cross Beacon Street may have to find an alternative while work is being done on the Babcock, Cleveland Circle and Brookline Hills lines from Copley Square.

Trains will operate between Boston College and Babcock Street on the B Line. Riders should use shuttles between Babcock St and Copley.

The C Line is suspended between Government Center and Cleveland Circle. Shuttles are in use from Cleveland Circle and Copley with riders "strongly encouraged" to use the Orange Line downtown. Fare gates at the Orange Line Back Bay station will be open for free service.

The following stations will not receive service during the disruption:

Kent St: Shuttles will not service Kent St. Riders should use Hawes St or Saint Paul St.

Saint Paul St: Eastbound — 1253 Beacon St.; Westbound -1202 Beacon St.

Coolidge Corner: Eastbound — 1351 Beacon St.; Westbound - 1316 Beacon St.

Summit Ave: Eastbound — Beacon St @ Marion St., Westbound - 1428 Beacon St.

Brandon Hall: Shuttles will not service Brandon Hall. Riders should use Summit Ave or Fairbanks St.

Fairbanks St.: Eastbound — 1537 Beacon St.; Westbound — Beacon St @ Lancaster Terrace.

Washington Sq: Eastbound — 1601 Beacon St.; Westbound - 1624 Beacon St.

Tappan St: Eastbound — 1691 Beacon St.; Westbound Beacon St @ Williston Rd.

Dean Rd: Eastbound — Beacon St @ Dean Rd.; Westbound - Beacon St @ Corey Rd.

Englewood Ave: Eastbound 1855 Beacon St.; Westbound — 1856 Beacon St

Cleveland Circle: Eastbound — Beacon St @ Cleveland Circle Station.

Green Line D Branch: Service is suspended between Government Center and Brookline Hills. Trains will operate between Riverside and Brookline Hills. Use shuttles between Brookline Hills and Copley.
