MSPCA-Angell said the Goldie mix found weighing 10 pounds in the area of Newton Street and Clyde Street is headed to foster care.

BROOKLINE, MA — A 3-year-old Golden Retriever mix named "Brooke" found wandering the streets of Brookline and weighing just 10 pounds last week was released from Angell Memorial Hospital on Wednesday and is headed to foster care.
MSPCA-Angell officials said: "She's still pretty skinny and has a ways to go before she'll be fully healthy. But we'll be with her every step of the way."
The MSPCA said the focus right now is Brooke's recovery and that it is not yet accepting adoption applications for her.

Brookline police are looking for information on the dog's owner.
Those who have information on Brooke can contact Brookline police at animalcontrol@brooklinema.gov or MSPCA Law Enforcement at mspca.org/tip or 617-522-6008.
"It's always hard to see loving animals like Brooke suffer so much," Keiley said. "We want to know how it got to this point, and we need people's help to do that."
