FBI Report: How Much Violent Crime Happened in Brookline?

The FBI recently released its annual ”Crime in the United States” report, which includes information about Brookline.

According to the report, Brookline saw 166 violent crimes in 2014. Violent crime includes offenses involving force or the threat of force: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, according to the FBI.

There were 1 reported rape, seventeen robberies, and 148 aggravated assaults.

Other crime stats for Brookline include 661 larcenies, 92 burglaries, and twelve motor vehicle thefts.

Nationally, violent crime decreased nationally last year by 0.2 percent from 2013, according to the report.
