Have You Seen Murphy the Dog?
Beloved family dog runs away, gets clipped by a car -- and now his family is trying to find him. Can you help?

He is a three year-old Labrador/Hound mix. He weighs about 60 pounds, with his short reddish-brown hair, black nose, brown eyes and floppy ears.
And he's injured and lost.
Murphy's owner/human companion, Dana Brigham, is the owner of Brookline Booksmith. She sent out an email saying: "Our beloved family dog ran away in the storm Fri. night. He was last seen by a driver who clipped him with her car at Kennard and Route 9. He slipped his collar and took off, bleeding, but able to run.... We suspect he's holed up somewhere, probably on the Lincoln School side of Rte. 9."

Brigham's email goes on to say that Murphy has a microchip implanted in him [for identification], but has not been taken into any shelters, etc. so far.
Brigham's email also says Murphy is "very shy/skittish as he was a rescue dog but any siting would be helpful. He'd be pretty impossible to actually catch, other than by a family member."
