Incident Reports from the Week of July 20

The following information was supplied by the Brookline Police Department. 

Breaking and Entering:  7/24 at 7:30 a.m. - 7/25 at 9:30 p.m.: 

Brookline Police reported to Aspinwall Avenue after receiving a report of breaking and entering. Investigation revealed a bedroom window had been forcibly opened, but nothing in the apartment was missing. A resident of the building reported hearing someone moving around the window around 4:00 a.m. on 7/25, but had not seen the suspect. Further attempts to locate the intruder have proved unsuccessful thus far.  

Drug Arrest: 7/23 at 5:43 p.m. - Harvard St./Longwood Ave.

An officer pulled over a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker on Harvard St. A search of the vehicle revealed prescription pills in a backpack. The owner of the backpack did not have a prescription for the medication and was placed under arrest for Possession of a Class E drug.

B&E MV: 7/22 at 3:01 a.m. - Sherrin Rd. 

An individual reported the break in of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he heard a noise outside of his residence and witnessed and unknown individual next to his vehicle with the driver’s door open. The suspect fled down Sherrin Rd. to Hackensack Rd. The suspect was described as a tanned skin male wearing a black baseball hat, dark tank top, dark pants and black shoes. A search of the area for the suspect yielded negative results. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.

Larceny: 7/20 between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. - Commonwealth Ave.

An individual reported a larceny from a gym locker on Commonwealth Ave. The victim stated that someone entered his locker and removed a wallet containing credit cards and cash.
