“I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey,” she wrote on the social media platform. “Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business.”
Bündchen, who made her debut back in 1996 during New York Fashion Week, is married to New England Patriots quarterback and four-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady. Last June, the pair cemented their allegiance to Boston when they sold their $40 million California home to music mogul Dr. Dre while in the process of building a mansion in Brookline. The latter is a 14,00 square-foot chateau on 400 Heath St., complete with five bathrooms, a swimming pool, yoga studio and wine cellar.

Brady Bündchen generated more Boston real estate buzz in December when they listed their Back Bay penthouse for rent. The property, boasting a landscaped roof deck with a desktop wallpaper view of the Boston skyline, came up for lease at a modest rate of $35,000 per month.

Gisele told the Brazilian newspaper Folha de São Paulo that her body is signaling her that it is time to bid adieu to the catwalk.
“I respect my body,” she said. “It’s a privilege to be able to stop.”
But Bündchen, 34, is not expected to retire entirely. She plans on modeling for print ad campaigns.
