Attempted Child Enticement: Brookline Man Arrested

The man was reportedly involved in multiple incidents throughout town leading up to his arrest.

BROOKLINE, MA — A man has been arrested on multiple child sex crimes, according to the Brookline Police Department.

35-year-old Jacob Williams was officially charged with dissemination of harmful material to minors, enticement of a child under the age of 16, indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14, annoying or accosting a person sexually, and disorderly conduct after his arrest this past Thursday.

According to Brookline police, the Winchendon resident was involved in two incidents on the afternoon of Thursday, April 10. He was first reported for following two girls described as pre-teens on Washington Street where he also tried to converse with them. When the pair crossed the street to get away from Williams, he followed them.

Less than one hour later, police were dispatched to the Public Library on 361 Washington St. after a report that Williams was showing underage boys inappropriate material on his computer and attempting to persuade one of them to enter the bathroom with him so the boy could show him his stomach.

Williams was located in the vicinity of the library shortly after and arrested.
