BROOKLINE, MA — Police respond to dozens of emergency calls each day. The following reports are taken from the public police log and the Brookline Police blog. It's important to note that just because someone reports an incident to police doesn't mean that's the way it happened.

Shoplifting: A business on Washington Street reported multiple people stashed health and beauty products in a backpack and then ran off without paying around 1:40 p.m. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.

Graffiti: Someone reported that a mail box, a fire box and pole were spray painted near the corner of Kent Street and Aspinwall Avenue.

White Nationalist Activity: Police arrested Noah Bogosh, 22, listed as homeless, and charged him with vandalism and public consumption of marijuana. Police were called to Davis Ave at Waverly Street for a report of suspicious activity. When they got there the man who called told police he saw a white man wearing a dark jacket and hood carrying a piece of luggage. The man told police when the guy walked past him he "gave him a very uneasy feeling." He told police he then saw the man put a sicker on a No Parking sign. The sticker read "Not stolen conquered. Patriotfront.us." When police confronted the man, he was smoking pot and indicated he was also responsible for a sticker that said "better dead than red. patriotfront.us" with a red communist symbol with a blue arrow going through it on a trash can nearby. Several organizations such as the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League have classified Patriot Front as a white supremacist, neo-Nazi, and neo-fascist group which utilizes imagery of accepted American values to promote its broader alt-right ideology, police said. After they arrested Bogosh, police said they found he had several other stickers, which were confiscated as evidence, those stickers read "United We Stand. Patriotfront.us"

Put the cell phone down: Police arrested Shauday Johnson, 34, of Brockton and charged her on a warrant out of West Roxbury District Court for traffic offenses. Police said they pulled Johnson over after they saw her looking up and down at her phone while at a stop light. That prompted them to run her plates, which showed that she had a warrant for traffic offenses. She made arrangements to have a friend come pick up the car and police gave her a warning for impeded operation.

Bike theft: A Beacon Street resident reported that their bicycle, which was not locked but in their garage, was stolen. The resident said the garage door may have been open at the time of the theft because of the trash pick up times.
