Temporary Water Shut-Off Planned For Brookline Neighborhood
The shut-off will continue for several hours, officials said, as crews work to repair a leak.
BROOKLINE, MA — A group of Brookline residents will be without town water service for several hours Friday as crews work to repair a leak, the town Department of Public Works announced Friday morning.
Crews will shut off water service around Sumner Road between 101 Sumner Road and the road’s intersection with Tappan Street at 9 a.m. The shut-off is scheduled to continue until 2 p.m., officials said.
Area residents may see discolored water as a result of water service work. Town officials said this can be cleared by running cold water on a trickle for between five and 10 minutes.
