Cambridge Police Looking For Missing Teen

The 16-year-old has been diagnosed with autism.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — The police department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager who is described as having high-functioning autism.

Sophie Stein, 16, was reported missing on Thursday when she did not return home after not disclosing where she was staying overnight then attending school on Friday. She is described as being five feet and one inch tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, and having red curly hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt that says “CRLS” which stands for Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, which Stein attends. Stein reportedly also has been diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, while not having taken any medication since Sunday, Oct. 5.
