• Circle Furniture stores closed, reportedly laying off employees (furnituretoday.com) — Residents may remember Circle Furniture’s roots in Cambridge, where the Tubman family launched the business in the early 1950s before expanding across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The Acton-based retailer has now closed all its showrooms and laid off employees, with staff notified by email that the company can no longer afford to continue operations.
