Greetings CPS community!
Find out what's happening in Cambridgefor free with the latest updates from Patch.
I would like to reiterate our commitment to student safety. It is of highest priority that we safeguard our students’ wellbeing. Below I share more details about our work to address short term needs and long term solutions regarding alleged misogyny, discrimination (including gender discrimination), sexual harassment and sexual assault at CRLS.
The Cambridge Public Health Department will be holding a third vaccine clinic on Wednesday, December 15 at CRLS from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Please note that an appointment is required. Additional information and the registration link are below.
As we finish out 2021, please check out all of the amazing celebrations and performances on the CPS District Calendar. We hope that you will be able to attend and experience our talented students!
Thank you for your continued support. I hope you have a wonderful week.
Make it Great!
Dr. Victoria L. Greer
Interim Superintendent
Cambridge Public Schools
In recent years, there have been several efforts to elevate and address issues of misogyny, gender discrimination, sexual harassment and sexual assault in Cambridge Public Schools, including the Sexual Harassment and Assault Prevention Action Plan Recommendations developed in 2017 and follow-up School Committee order #21-141 in 2021.
Building on the steps that have already been taken at the school and district levels, we will move forward to ensure consistent implementation and monitoring of progress. In the coming weeks, we will:
CPHD Pfizer and Flu Vaccine Clinic at CRLS
CPHD is hosting a 3rd vaccine clinic next Wednesday, December 15 at CRLS.
**A follow-up clinic will be held on Wednesday, January 5 to provide the second dose of vaccine to children and adults who received their first dose at the December 15 clinic.**
Wednesday, December 15 | 3:30-7:30PM
VaxAbilities is hosting disability-friendly vaccine clinics around the state. Additional staff will be at these clinics to provide skilled support to individuals with disabilities and sensory support needs.
Most of the clinics will offer the COVID vaccine to children 5+, adult vaccines as well as boosters. While the clinics are tailored to support individuals with disabilities, please note that anyone can visit the clinic.
**Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are encouraged.**
If you have not done so already, please upload proof of vaccination or submit exemption requests through the secure Family Portal as soon as possible. As a reminder, please do not share this information via email with school staff.
A reminder that for the month of December, Food and Nutrition Services will publish a weekly menu, rather than a monthly menu, due to continued national shortages of food and packaging materials, labor and vendor delivery delays and cancellations, This will ensure the menu is as accurate as possible. A weekly menu also means there will be fewer last minute menu changes.
For any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Food and Nutrition Services office at 617-349-6858.
