Cambridge, Quincy Bank Robbery Suspect Faces Multiple Charges

A man arrested in connection to recent Cambridge and Quincy bank robberies is reportedly being held on a $75,000 cash bail.

Cambridge, MA - A man whose alleged getaway attempt briefly stalled a Red Line train Monday in Cambridge will be held on a $75,000 bail, a judge ruled Tuesday.

A defense attorney in the case said the suspect, 35-year-old Matthew Temple, attempted suicide while in custody, lunging for a police officer's gun, FOX 25 reports. A judge ordered him kept under observation and held on bail, the station reported.

Cambridge police arrested Temple with assistance from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's police force Monday at the Central Square T station. Police said he was trying to make a run for it after robbing a Cambridge bank.
