SUV Crashes Into Brick Wall In Cambridge
Police said she told them she pushed the gas instead of the brake.
CAMBRIDGE, MA — A woman pushed the gas pedal instead of the break pedal Wednesday morning and crashed her Toyota Rav 4 through a brick wall near the corner of Fresh Pond Parkway and Brattle Street.
Police said they got a call around 11:28 a.m. reporting a car crash. When first responders got there, the driver, a 68-year-old Chelsea woman, was conscious and out of the vehicle. Police said she did not need to be taken to the hospital and no other cars appeared to be involved.
"The operator pressed down on the gas pedal instead of her brake," said a spokesperson for the Cambridge Police Department.
