WeBeatCancer.org is a Gallahue/Rooney Family Foundation effort to provide assistance to Boston area cancer patients and their loved ones. When Jeff Gallahue was diagnosed with malignant throat cancer his family, friends and medical team surrounded him with love and support and today they are blessed to say, “We Beat Cancer”. The foundation plans to provide financial and informational support to members of the community who are struggling with the same issues the Gallahue's faced during their battle with cancer. Some of the support the foundation plans to provide includes transportation, parking and lunch vouchers for the many days of ongoing treatments which impact their daily budgets, and child care. In addition, the website webeatcancer.org was created for patients and their care givers to go to for information in the many aspects of the “cancer journey.” You can be part of helping these patients, and their families by stopping in at Floral Scents between February 14th and May13th to purchase your bunch of tulips.
