Cyber-bullying – Internet Safety Workshop for Parents of Students K-12
This FREE "for parents/guardians only" workshop on Cyber-bullying and Internet Safety will take place on Wednesday, January 19th from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Canton High School Auditorium. Sponsored by the Canton Bullying Prevention and Intervention Committee, this workshop is being offered to all Canton parents/guardians of students in grades K-12. Detective Chip Yeaton, along with members of the METROLEC (Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council) will address the following issues:
• Parental awareness for online child predators
• The dangers of children providing too much personal information online
• Cyber-bullying
• Issues surrounding the use of social sites (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
• The dangers of peer to peer networking
• The importance of and tips for monitoring computer/Internet use by our children
This workshop is FOR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS ONLY so please plan child care accordingly.
We hope to see all of our Canton parents/guardians at this critical presentation on Internet Safety on Wednesday, January 19th from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Canton High School Auditorium.
