176 people have been shot in Boston since January 1, 2015. Shootings involving two or more victims have drastically increased across Boston as compared to this time in 2014, according to the latest shooting statistics released by the Boston Police Department.
Between January 1, 2015 and August 30, 2015, 30 shooting incidents involving two or more victims have been documented. That’s exactly double the amount which occurred during the same time frame in 2014.
22 double shootings have taken place, five triple shootings, two quadruple shootings and one sextuple shooting.

The overall number of people shot in Boston is up from 144 last year to 176 this year.
