Charlestown Youth Planning Candlelight Walk for Newtown, CT

On Saturday, Dec. 22, MissionSAFE will host a candlelight walk to show support for the victims and families of the school shooting in Newtown, CT.  Anyone interested in participating is asked to meet in front of St. Catherine’s Church at 6 p.m. for a brief speaking program.

The walk will start at St. Catherine’s Church and will proceed on the following route: Tufts St. to Bunker Hill to Concord to High to Austin Street Mall.

The MissionSAFE young people are also asking that anyone who cannot attend please to put lights in the windows of their home or business between 6 and 8 p.m. in support and that residents and business owners along the route turn their lights on to stand in unity with the walkers.
