What are some of the biggest challenges that the committee is facing right now?
The biggest challenge now is raising the money needed to get the park up and running. Most of the approvals are in order, it’s a matter of raising the funds needed. We now have Dutch Norden from Norden and Co on board and he is currently looking into the exact construction costs and what materials and labor may be donated to see this come to fruition.
Are there any tentative dates in site for construction, planning, final process, etc?
In the planning now. June meeting should provide more concrete information. Our goal would be to see this within a year.
How can interested residents get involved?
We need volunteers to share expertise to help build the dog park. We have several sub committees that meet to organize fundraising, events and the construction. We need many hands to make this work!
