Lane Closures Coming to Route 114 In Danvers, Peabody
The nighttime lane closures begin Tuesday night at 8 p.m. and will last for two weeks.
DANVERS, MA — Drivers who use Route 114 in Peabody and Danvers at night could be in for some delays over the next couple of weeks with lane closures set to begin Tuesday night.
The lane closures will run from Violet Road in Peabody to I-95 in Danvers.
The state Department of Transportation said the temporary lane closures will begin Tuesday at 8 p.m. and last until Wednesday morning at 5 a.m. Closures will then continue each night except for Saturdays through July 29 — weather permitting.

The temporary lane closures are necessary to allow the contractor to safely and effectively perform milling operations. Occasional daytime lane shifts may be needed for additional work.
Police details will be used to direct traffic on Route 114 and the affected intersections.

Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
The work is being conducted as part of an $8.5 million district-wide resurfacing project.
